New outdoor light fixtures can drastically improve and update the look of your home. New outdoor flood lights and security lights can improve the safety around your home. Let me give you some things to think about when planning your outdoor lighting. First do you have an electrical box where you would like to put the fixture? If you do this is the easiest situation then I can just remove your old fixtures and replace them with nicer newer ones. If you do not have electrical boxes where you would like to put your new fixtures we will have to create one for you. We may also have to create a spot for new switching for your outdoor lights. Then as with all electrical installations we will have to figure out how to get the wire from point A to point B to get your new lights working. How bright would you like your new lights to be? When choosing your new fixtures whether it be a flood light or a wall-mounted fixtures look for the maximum wattage of the bulbs you can put in there. Motion flood lights are a great addition they are a good energy saver because they don't have to be on all the time but they will come on when you need them such as when you pull in your driveway at night. I recommend using LED bulbs in an outdoor fixture that would be left on for hours at a time as these bulbs will save you a lot in electricity cost. At this point you can buy almost every type of light bulb in an LED. I can also change the switch for your outside lights into a timer so that they will only stay on for when you actually need them this will also save you on electricity.
